Healthy Aging, by Andrew Weill, M.D., published by Knopf
Once again Dr. Andrew Weil shares his wisdom with us in this wonderful, "lifelong guide to your physical and spiritual well-being."
In Part One Dr. Weil explains how the body ages.  He discusses the part that herbs and hormones play, as well as providing us with a philosophy of healthy aging that goes beyond the physical.  Dr. Weil starts with the most basic topic, why we age, and brings us to more spiritual issues such as why we need to recognize the value of aging in a time when aging seems to be nothing but hair dyes and white teeth.
In Part Two Dr. Weil discusses prevention, diet, supplements, rest, sleep, touch and sex, stress, thoughts/emotions/attitudes, memory, and the spiritual dimensions of aging.
Take time out for a wonderful read!  This book will help you understand the aging process from a physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual place.  And don't miss the "Twelve-Point Program For Healthy Aging," at the end of the book.
We give this book ***** stars, this one shines!
